Located in Dhangarhi, the Interpretation Centre serves as an informative gateway to the diverse ecosystems of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Inaugurated on December 12, 1996, it boasts an extensive array of exhibits, including beautifully designed dioramas, stuffed specimens, and a monsoon exhibit that captures the forest’s atmosphere during rains. Just 45 minutes (25.8 km) from the resort, it offers an immersive experience with the calls of birds and mammals, and a unique simulated nighttime forest journey.
Dhikala, the core zone of Jim Corbett National Park, is not only the largest but also the most captivating area within the reserve. Known for thrilling canter safaris and tiger sightings, it’s also a paradise for birdwatchers. The lower jungle track near the Ramganga River rewards visitors with views of river lapwings, waders, mergansers, and other waterfowl. Just 45 minutes (25.8 km) from the resort, Dhikala’s grasslands are perfect for spotting the spot-bellied owl, long-tailed nightjar, hawk-eagles, and many more from Corbett’s 600+ bird species.
Perched atop a massive rock beside the Kosi River, the Garjiya Devi Temple is dedicated to a form of Goddess Parvati and sits majestically 60 feet above the ground. Visitors cross a charming suspension bridge to reach the temple. Especially vibrant during Kartik Poornima, the temple glows with lamps and celebrations. Located just 40 minutes (22 km) away, it’s a spiritually enriching stop with scenic surroundings.
Nestled deep within a dense teak forest, Corbett Waterfall cascades from a height of 66 feet, offering a serene setting for photography, nature walks, or simply relaxing to the sound of flowing water. Located 30 minutes (23 km) from the resort, the site is well-maintained with a campsite and hiking trails, making it ideal for a quiet nature escape and birdwatching.
Situated in Choti Haldwani near Kaladungi, the Jim Corbett Museum is housed in the former residence of the legendary conservationist and author Sir Edward James Corbett. It exhibits his personal belongings, writings, and artifacts, offering insight into his life and legacy. Just 32 minutes (25.3 km) from the resort, the museum also sits on 89 hectares of land once gifted to the locals by Corbett himself after India’s independence.
Hanuman Dham, located in Chhoi village near Ramnagar in Uttarakhand, is a peaceful and spiritually significant temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
